Basic container
In App, navigate to Settings > Edit Profile > Profile tab > Basic container.
All Basic settings are also available for an admin to change in Console (Account > Users > [User]). The system respects the most recent updates to the settings.
Container breakdown
Change Picture*
The Change Picture link allows you to update your profile picture. Selecting an image that has 1:1 pixel ratio will ensure that your profile picture is not cropped incorrectly.
First Name*
The First Name field is where you enter or modify your first name.
Last Name*
The Last Name field is where you enter or modify your last name.
Prefix*
The Prefix menu is where you select a prefix to be attached to your name.
Suffix*
The Suffix menu is where you select a suffix to be attached to your name.
Title**
The Title menu is where you define your job title.
Email**
The Email menu is where you enter or update your email address. The email address defined in this field is what’s used when logging into the application or Console, if you have Console permissions.
Mobile**
The Mobile menu is where you enter or update your mobile phone number. This is the number that the system sends calls to if you have configured your calls to route to mobile.
Language
The Language menu allows you to define your preferred, primary language. This is especially important if you’re an Edify CX user who manages interactions in queues configured with translation and/or pre-join announcements.
Timezone
The Timezone menu is where you select which time zone you work in.
Message Notification Sound
The Message Notification Sound toggle is where you enable or disable the notification sound made when a message is posted in chat.
Enabled - An audible notification is played every time someone posts a message in a channel or direct message in Chat.
Disabled - No notification is played when a message is posted in a channel or direct message in Chat.
Notification
The Notification toggle enables or disables visible notifications in your application window.
Enabled - A push notification appears when messages are posted in a channel or direct message in Chat.
Disabled - No notification is visible when messages are posted in a channel or direct message in Chat.
Ringing Sound
The Ringing Sound toggle lets you turn the ringing sound on or off when receiving a call.
Reset Password
Use this button to reset your account password. A temporary password is sent to the email address configured in the Email field.
Change your password by clicking the Reset Password button at the bottom of the Basic container.
Note: The details you set in the Basic section are generally visible to your coworkers under the Profile Details tab in chat or within the softphone directory.
*These fields are displayed to coworkers. They will also be displayed to customers if you are a queue user.
**These fields can be viewed by coworkers when they open your user profile in Chat or search for you in the directory.
