Check your App version (App)
There are two separate software versions we use to track software updates:
App version
Desktop app version
The App version is the software version of the product itself. We track software versions on the Catalyst Community website. There, you can read release notes to see the latest released version of the App.
Note: We automatically prompt you to update, so you don’t need to worry about remembering to keep track of releases.
The Desktop app version is the specific version of the container running Avaya.cx on your desktop computer. In essence, Avaya.cx is the same regardless of whether you’re using it in a web browser or from the desktop app. When you’re using the desktop app, you’re viewing your Avaya.cx account through a “container”. The role of the desktop app itself is to display the system to you as you’d see it in a web browser.
The desktop app version is the version of the container, not the Avaya.cx App itself.
Mac users can check your desktop app version by clicking the Edify menu.
Windows users can access this information by clicking the tri-dot icon in the top-left corner of the screen
We also automatically prompt you to update the desktop app version, so there’s no need to worry about keeping your account up-to-date. However, if you notice your desktop version is not current and manually updating it isn’t moving your desktop app to the latest version, then we recommend trying uninstalling the desktop app and reinstalling it.
