Overview: Basic container in Users (Console)
This article gives an overview of the Basic container in the Users workspace of Console.
Overview
The Basic container lets you customize a user's personal details on their behalf.
In Console, navigate to Account > Users > [User] > Basic container.
Every user can update some Basic settings in App (Settings > Edit Profile > Profile > Basic container). However, the following settings can only be changed in the Basic container in Console:
User Enabled/Disabled
E911 Location
Billing Location
Reports To
Auth Provider
Include in Directory
App Theme
Much of the information recorded in this container is displayed for coworkers to reference through the softphone directory or when viewing the user's profile details in chat.

User Enabled/Disabled toggle
The User Enabled/Disabled toggle lets you grant or restrict a user’s access to an avaya.cx account.
Enabled: A user is automatically set to enabled status upon user creation. However, you will need to configure User Permissions to allow access to App and Console unless these permissions were pre-configured using a template.
Disabled: Removes access to the system. The user is automatically logged out of the system if they are logged into App or Console. When you disable a user, their availability status changes to “Offline” and they are removed from any channels and teams that they were a part of. When you re-enable a disabled user, the settings configured prior to disabling the user are restored. This means they will be added to the channels and teams they were a part of before being disabled.
